CatWorldly is a cat care, culture, comics, video and community website operated for readers who enjoy practical cat information and original cat entertainment. This policy explains what information the site collects, how analytics are used and what choices visitors have.
Analytics
CatWorldly uses self-hosted Matomo Analytics inside this WordPress installation. Matomo helps us understand which pages people visit, where traffic roughly comes from, which links and referrers send visitors, and which parts of the website need improvement.
Matomo is configured to avoid tracking cookies, honor browser Do Not Track where available, anonymize visitor IP addresses, use anonymized IP data for location reports, exclude logged-in administrators and editors, and strip query strings from referrer URLs. Reports are available only to authorized CatWorldly administrators inside WordPress.
CatWorldly does not send this analytics data to Google Analytics or another third-party analytics account.
Comments, Questions and Submissions
If CatWorldly opens comments, reader questions, polls or moderated submissions, information voluntarily provided by readers may be reviewed before publication. Private details should not be submitted for publication. CatWorldly may edit or decline submissions for safety, privacy, moderation, clarity or site-fit reasons.
Medical emergencies or urgent cat health concerns should be handled through a qualified veterinarian, not through a public website submission.
Embedded Media and External Links
CatWorldly may embed or link to external services such as YouTube, Instagram, X, Amazon and cat-friendly veterinarian search resources. Those services may collect information according to their own privacy policies when you open, view or interact with them.
Book links may take visitors to Amazon product pages. CatWorldly does not control Amazon’s checkout, account, recommendation or tracking systems.
WordPress and Security Logs
Like most websites, CatWorldly’s web server and WordPress installation may keep technical logs that include request times, requested URLs, browser details, IP addresses and error information. These logs are used for security, debugging, abuse prevention and site reliability.
Data Choices
You can reduce tracking by using browser privacy settings, enabling Do Not Track where available, blocking scripts, or using the Matomo opt-out control below.
If the opt-out control does not load in your browser, you can still use your browser’s tracking protection, script blocking or Do Not Track settings to limit analytics collection.
Matomo Opt Out
