CatWorldly first-day kitten checklist

- Prepare one quiet safe room before the kitten arrives.
- Place food, water, litter, scratcher, carrier and hiding space in predictable locations.
- Keep the first day calm; do not force handling, tours or introductions.
- Confirm the kitten is eating, drinking, using the litter box and breathing normally.
- Keep strings, cords, plants, small objects and open windows out of reach.
- Book or confirm the first veterinary visit.
- Escalate to a qualified veterinarian for breathing trouble, collapse, repeated vomiting, inability to urinate, seizures, suspected poisoning or fast-changing symptoms.
